Privacy policy
What we collect, what we don't, and your rights under UK GDPR.

Who we are
Home Care Family is an independent UK information resource for families arranging or watching over home care for a relative. The site is operated by John, founder of MyFamilyCare (myfamilycare.app), a UK-based home-care visit verification product. Contact: john@homecarefamily.co.uk .
What we collect from visitors
Currently: nothing. This site is a static information resource. It does not collect personal data from you simply by visiting. There are no contact forms, no comment sections, and no account system on this site.
If you choose to send us an email at the address above, we'll process that email in order to reply. We do not add email addresses to any mailing list, and we do not share email addresses with anyone.
Cookies
This site does not currently set any cookies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set technical cookies necessary to deliver the site — these are exempt from consent requirements under UK PECR rules because they are strictly necessary for the requested service.
Analytics
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracker. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future (e.g. Plausible, Fathom, or Vercel Web Analytics in aggregated mode), we will update this notice and provide a way to opt out if required.
Outbound links
Our guides link to external sources (CQC, NHS, Age UK, the Ombudsman, homecare.co.uk, and others). Those sites have their own privacy policies. We don't track what you click or where you go after leaving this site.
MyFamilyCare link
At the end of most guides we link to MyFamilyCare (myfamilycare.app), a separate product. If you click through and sign up there, MyFamilyCare's own privacy notice applies. We don't receive any tracking signal from MyFamilyCare about your visit; the two sites operate independently.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Even though we don't actively collect personal data from visitors, if you've emailed us you have rights under UK GDPR including:
- The right to ask what data we hold about you
- The right to ask us to correct it
- The right to ask us to delete it
- The right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data
To exercise any of these rights, email john@homecarefamily.co.uk . The ICO's website is ico.org.uk .
Changes to this notice
We'll update this page if anything material changes — particularly if we add analytics, forms, or any other data collection. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
